Benedictine Academy Founder, Rev. Fr. Prof. Elias Gbishe Torugh, Declares Commitment to Free Education, Humanitarian Initiatives in Nigeria

The founder and proprietor of the Benedictine Order of Peace and Unity Academy Foundation, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Prof. Elias Gbishe Torugh (OSB), has declared the institution’s readiness to pursue a long-term vision of free education and humanitarian initiatives in Nigeria.
Rev. Fr. Torugh made the declaration while addressing the Parents Teachers Association (PTA), stakeholders of the academy, and members of the school’s governing board. He emphasized the importance of laying a solid foundation for the academy’s future, highlighting education as the most powerful tool for nation-building.
According to him, the Benedictine Academy is not only committed to academic excellence but also to providing opportunities for underprivileged children and communities across the country. He stressed that the foundation’s mission is rooted in peace, unity, and service to humanity.
“Education is the key to unlocking the future of our children and our nation. Our vision is to ensure that no child is denied access to quality education because of financial barriers. This academy will be a beacon of hope and a platform for humanitarian service to Nigeria,” Rev. Fr. Torugh stated.
Stakeholders at the event commended the founder’s vision and pledged their continued support toward the realization of the academy’s goals.
With this declaration, the Benedictine Order of Peace and Unity Academy Foundation is set to chart a new course in Nigeria’s educational and humanitarian landscape, aiming to empower generations through knowledge and service.
